PAYMENT: Payment can be made online at https://schoolsales.nsd.org using your Touch Pin number or at the Ruby Bridges office by cash (exact change only) or check made payable to NSD.

JERSEYS: Jerseys are checked out at the 1st practice and are to be worn on meet days. We will collect them at the end of season. (please wash & return in a bag with student name and grade)

PARTICIPATION:

To ensure a safe and enjoyable time for all participants, some guidelines need to be established. 

These include:

• Register online and complete attached registration forms (Track Transportation Information and Athletic Emergency Information) with payment.  These forms are required for students to participate. Forms can be found online at https://rubybridges.nsd.org/activities

• Students are responsible for providing their own shorts and shoes. (Cleats or spikes are not allowed).  If rain or poor weather is forecasted, have warm, dry clothes available.

• Transportation to and from meets must be provided by parents. Picking up students and leaving directly from school for meets is highly recommended. Carpooling is encouraged, but needs to be pre arranged between families and communicated to the office. Please communicate change of transportation plans to the office.                                                                                           

• Parents are responsible for any child requiring medication at meets.

• If a meet is canceled due to weather, that decision will be made by 2:45 PM day of.

Below is a list of events that each athlete may participate in. Each student will choose 1 running event AND 1 field event per meet, plus the relay if selected. Coaches will inform students of their relay team.

                RIVER OTTER CROSS COUNTRY 

 

The 2025 Cross Country season is approaching soon and we are excited your student wants to join the Cross Country team.

The registration fee is $45.

If you qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch… registration fee is $0

Both the Paper Registration and the Athletic Emergency Information form need to be completed with the Athletic Emergency Information form being turned in to the office

THE FIRST PRACTICE IS MONDAY, SEPT. 22nd

Practices will be Monday BEFORE school. Students must arrange their own transportation to practice and should be dropped off between 8:15 am and 8:30 am.

Practices start @ 8:30 am

(end @ 9:10 am- morning recess)

Cross Country MEETS are on Tuesday with exception to our first meet which will be Monday 9/29. All meets are scheduled to start at 5pm.

Students must provide their own transportation to/from Cross Country practices and meets.

Each race is done by age and division. The order of races will be determined by the host school. The distance is approximately 1/2 mile.

 

Please remember to sign out your child at our home events.

Students should stay and come to the gym immediately after school HOME meets(10/7).

Our team shirts will be checked out to students at the beginning of the season and returned washed at the completion of the season.
