Throughout the month, commissioning at Ruby Bridges has ramped up, which tests each of the systems in the building to ensure they work properly. The school’s hydronic system (water) flushing, kitchen equipment, gas meter and fire alarm system are all in the process of being commissioned and will continue for another three weeks.
The majority of the flooring is complete and final clean up is being done in several sections of the school. However, some flooring is still in progress, including the gym floor.
PE equipment, along with custodial and kitchen supplies have been ordered, and Planning Principal Cathi Davis continues to work with her staff to determine any additional supply needs.
During May, the accessible playground equipment install is expected to be completed and the project is anticipated to receive its temporary certificate of occupancy.
This project was made possible by the generous support of Northshore voters, who approved the 2018 bond.
